Students enrolled in the 英语 as a Second Language (非母语英语课程) Program will write the 非母语英语课程英语诊断测验.

英语 & 非母语英语课程诊断测验

全球最大赌博365网站国际学院 uses the SLEP (Secondary Level 英语 Proficiency) Test to measure the 英语 language proficiency for non-native speakers. This 英语 diagnostic test is developed by Educational Testing Service (ETS) and assesses students’ listening and reading, 理解能力, 还有词汇和语法. Students will be placed in either 非母语英语课程 level or Academic 英语 level classes based on the scores they achieve on the SLEP测试. The test is divided into two sections, each containing four types of questions.

Measures ability to understand spoken 英语 and is 40 minutes long.

  • 初中生(七年级 & 8) will be given diagnostic tests in Mathematics and 英语 during the first week of school by their class teachers.
  • It is a 50-minute long test to assess students’ knowledge in Mathematics and 英语.
  • The test is not for placement purposes as in the senior school. It serves to help teachers identify skills and concepts students are strong in or need assistance 与.
  • This ultimately helps teachers to provide remedial assistance or enrichment where needed

  • Students who wrote an 英语 proficiency test more than 6 months ago may request to write CIC’s 英语 placement test upon arrival at CIC (before registration) in order to update their 英语 proficiency for course placement.
